Southwest Jiaotong University is a key national university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It is among the first universities included in the national initiatives such as the “Double First-Class” program, the “211 Project”, the “985 Project Innovation Platform for Advantageous Disciplines”, and the “2011 Collaborative Innovation Plan”. II. Program Information

1. Applicant category: Master’s degree and doctoral degree

2. Language of instruction: English / Chinese

3. Duration of the program: 3 years for Master’s degree students, 4 years for doctoral degree students

4. The catalog of admitted majors is shown in Annex 1(the final name of the majors is subject to the final approval of the Ministry of Education and the admission letter)

III. Requirements for Application

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and physically and mentally healthy.

2. Applicants for doctoral degree programs should hold a master's degree or equivalent, have excellent academic performance, and be no older than 40 years.

3. Applicants for master's degree programs should hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent, have excellent academic performance, and be no older than 35 years.

4. The Chinese language proficiency of applicants applying for master's or doctoral programs taught in Chinese mustl reach HSK Level 5;

5.Applicants must meet the admission requirements of Southwest Jiaotong University in terms of academic qualifications and other relevant conditions.

(II) Application Procedure

1. University system application: Applicants must submit their applications through the university's application system:https://admission.swjtu.edu.cn.

2. Preliminary review:Application will be reviewed based on the enrollment requirements, followed by an academic review by the respective schools. Applicants who pass the preliminary examination are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of RMB 400, regardless of whether they are finally admitted or not.

3. Academic review: Each academic school will organize an expert review to comprehensively evaluate the applicant's academic ability, language proficiency, educational background, and development potential through interviews or written tests.
