SWJTU provides an undergraduate program for international students.
Students will be granted diploma and bachelor's degree after fulfilling
all requirements.
The shortest length of undergraduate study is four years.
The courses are taught in Chinese.
1. Program Characteristics
(1) Quality faculty resource: SWJTU takes measures to vigorously and continuously support and train teachers at all levels, and establishes a special national teacher development center to guarantee the supply of quality faculty resource.
(2) Scientific arrangement of the enriched curriculum in content: there are various courses based on solid professional features of our university, including core courses, and related selective courses.
(3) Scientific innovation activities: our university has the independent Global Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to support innovatively practical activities.
2. Time and Requirements for Submitting Applications
Submitting Period: January 1-June 30
(1) International students who demonstrate good physical and mental health, hold valid non-Chinese passports, observe the laws of China, and abide by the rules and regulations of SWJTU.
(2) Applicants to undergraduate programmes are required to have higher school qualifications; Foreign citizens of Chinese origin please refer to the document (JW No. 2018[50]) for application.
(3) All applicants have to meet the entry requirements of the programmes for which they are applying. We will take their learning ability, language proficiency and academic performance into consideration.
(4) Minimum requirement: HSK4 > 180
Note: if you are unable to provide an HSK4 certificate, please apply for Chinese preparatory course first in our university (the duration is one year).
3. Application Procedures

(2) Click"ApplyOnline"→"Apply"→"Self-sponsored"→"Undergraduate Student".
(3) Fill in relevant information to complete the application.
4. Tuition and Fees
Tuition:
RMB 18,000 /year (economics & management/liberal arts)
RMB 23,000/semester (science/engineering)
RMB 25,000/semester (art/architecture)
5. Scholarship
SWJTU assists undergraduates in applying for the following scholarships:
(1) Chengdu Government Sister-Cities Scholarships
(2) The Belt and Road Scholarship
(3) Chinese Government Scholarship Sino-US Degree Program
6. Application Materials
(1) A copy of a valid passport (the validity period of the passport is not less than 6 months when you apply for a visa);
(2) The notarized highest academic degree obtained. (If the applicant is a senior high school student, he/she must submit a student certificate issued by his/her school; non-Chinese or English documents must be accompanied by notarized English or Chinese translations.)
(3) Transcript (Chinese or English); non-Chinese or English transcript must be accompanied by notarized English or Chinese translations;
(4) Physical examination documents: all the items listed in the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners must be included in the documents. The Physical Examination Record for Foreigners without complete information, the signature of the attending doctor, the official seal of corresponding hospital, or the stamped photo of the applicant is deemed invalid. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the physical examination result is valid for 6 months;
Notes: Please properly keep the original copy.
Download the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners from the website of China Scholarship Council (http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina/http://www.campuschina.org), and fill in it in English. The applicant shall go through all physical examination items required in the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners.
(5) Materials to prove the language competence: The scanned copies of HSK4 and above-level certificates;
(6) The personal statement in Chinese or English shall contain the applicant profile and the study plan;
(7) Materials to prove the financial support: A letter of financial guarantee (only RMB or USD) issued by the bank accredited by the embassy or consulate of the People's Republic of China in foreign countries, the amount of which is tuition for one academic year or more;
(8) Others: Students applying for the music major shall submit a CD of their works; and students applying for the major of fine arts shall submit a CD of 2 sketches, 2 color paintings and 2 other works of their own.
(9) Applicants under the age of 18 should provide relevant guardian materials.
