1. Basic Information

申请人在华学习期间的学费、生活费、综合医疗保险费，提供校内住宿。

三、申请条件

1. 非中国籍公民，身心健康；

2. 申请来华攻读博士学位者，应具有硕士学位或同等学历，学习成绩优异，年龄不超过40岁；

3. 申请来华攻读硕士学位者，应具有学士学位或同等学历，学习成绩优良，年龄不超过35岁；

4. 语言能力要求：

- 申请中文授课理工科类专业时，汉语水平须达到HSK5级(≥180)；申请中文授课文科及管理类专业时，汉语水平须达到HSK4级(≥180)。曾使用中文为教学语言获得高中毕业证或中国高校学位的，无须提供《汉语水平考试》（HSK）证明；

- 非英语母语者申请英语授课项目时，须提交以下材料之一：

①英语语言能力考试成绩单（雅思6.0分以上或托福网考80分以上或同等水平）；

②原大学出具的证明文件，证明前序学位课程以英语授课；

③其他能证明英语能力的文件。

5. 在学术能力和其他相关条件方面符合西南交通大学的招生要求。

III. Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy;

2. Applicants applying to study for Ph.D. program in China should have a master's degree or equivalent, have excellent academic performance, and be no older than 40 years old;

3. Applicants for Master's program in China should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, have excellent academic performance and be no older than 35 years old;

4. Language proficiency requirements:

･ Chinese-taught program applicants shall submit a valid HSK4 certification (≥180). Applicants who have obtained a degree from a Chinese university where Chinese was the language of instruction are exempt from submitting HSK certification;

･ English-taught program applicants whose native language is not English shall submit: ①score report of English language proficiency test (a score above IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80 or equivalent), or ②a certificate from former university that the previous degree is taught in English, or ③ other documents that proves English proficiency.

5. Meet the admission requirements of Southwest Jiaotong University in terms of academic ability, language ability and other relevant conditions.

四、申请材料及申请流程

（二）申请流程

1、CSC系统申请：登录中国政府奖学金来华留学管理信息系统（https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn），选择留学项目种类B类（TypeB），输入受理机构编号:10613（西南交通大学），填写信息后在线提交，下载《中国政府奖学金申请表》。操作指南请参照附件【Annex IV：中国政府奖学金来华留学管理信息系统操作流程Instructions for Applying with Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (CGSIS).pdf】。

2、学校系统申请（非常重要）：完成CSC网站申请后，还须在学校申请系统(https://admission.swjtu.edu.cn)中提交申请，有关材料须与CSC系统中完全一致(注意：如果您不在西南交通大学网站上申请，我们将无法受理您的申请)。申请人须缴纳申请费人民币400元（无论最终是否被录取，申请费均不予退还）。

3、学校初审：学校按照招生要求，对申请人资格进行初审，初审通过后商请培养单位复审。

4、学校复审：学校各培养位将组织专家复审，通过面试或笔试对申请人的学术能力、语言水平、教育背景、发展潜力等进行综合评审。

5、CSC审核与录取：CSC将对申请者全部材料（含学业成绩、发展潜力等）进行最终审核，预计于7月确定最终奖学金获得者名单。我校将通过邮件通知获奖者最终录取结果，并发送录取文件、注册及入学手续相关材料。

(II) Application Procedure

1. Application in CSC system

Login to the Management Information System of Chinese Government Scholarships for Studying in China (CSC): studyinchina.csc.edu.cn select TypeB, enter the accepting organization No. 10613 (Southwest Jiaotong University), fill in the information and submit it online, and then download the Application Form of Chinese Government Scholarship. Please refer here【Annex IV：中国政府奖学金来华留学管理信息系统操作流程Instructions for Applying with Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (CGSIS).pdf】for guidelines。

2. University system application (very important)

After completing the application on the CSC website, you must also submit the application in the University application system (https://admission.swjtu.edu.cn), and the relevant documents must be exactly the same as those in the CSC system (Note: If you do not apply on the website of Southwest Jiaotong University, we will not be able to accept your application). Applicants are required to pay an application fee of RMB 400 yuan (the application fee is non-refundable regardless of whether they are finally admitted or not).

Applicants should complete the application on the above two websites before Early May, 2026 (exact date will be updated later).

3. Preliminary review

The application will be reviewed in accordance with the enrollment requirements, and then the academic schools will review the application.

4. Academic review

Each academic department will organize expert review to comprehensively evaluate the applicant's academic ability, language proficiency, educational background, and development potential through interviews or written tests.

5. CSC Review and Admission

CSC Review and Admission: CSC makes a final review of the applicants’ whole set of documents including academic performance, development potential, and etc. then decides on the final list of scholarship winners estimated to be on July. The University will notify the scholarship recipients of the final admission results , and admission documents, registration and enrollment procedures will be sent by email.

五、其他事项

1. 项目最终录取结果将于2026年7月或8月公布。请耐心等待。

2. 申请人必须确保申请材料的真实性，一经查实材料不实，将取消申请人资格。

3. 中国政府奖学金学生不得同时获得地方各级政府和国内高校设立的其他奖学金（不含各类一次性奖励）。一经发现，取消中国政府奖学金资格，已获得的中国政府奖学金必须退还。故意隐瞒资助情况者，三年内不得申请中国政府奖学金，包括取消其申请资格。

4. 各培养单位通过电话或网络对申请人进行面试，请确保申请表中的电话号码和电子邮件地址正确无误。

5. 所有申请须在线提交，不接受电子邮件申请或纸质材料申请。

6. 请务必提供正确的电子邮件地址和邮寄地址。我们将通过电子邮件确认每项重要信息，请务必每天查看。

7. 西南交通大学不允许任何个人或中介代理机构受理中国政府奖学金申请。所有申请人应在国家留学基金委官方网站（http://www.campuschina.org/）和西南交通大学官方网站（https://admission.swjtu.edu.cn）上提交相关信息。

8. 学生须严格按照西南交通大学要求办理入学、注册手续。学校将在入学报到时核验学生的护照、签证、学历证书原件。如不符合报到时的相关材料审核要求，将被取消入学资格。

9. 凡出现弄虚作假、徇私舞弊者，一经查实，将取消报考、录取或入学资格。已报到注册的学生，将被开除学籍。

V. Other Notes

The final admission result of the Silk Road program will be announced in July or August 2026. Please be patient.

2. Applicants must ensure the authenticity of the application documents and will be disqualified if the materials are found to be inaccurate.

3. Chinese Government Scholarship students are not allowed to receive other scholarships (excluding all kinds of one-time awards) established by local governments and domestic universities at the same time. Once discovered, the qualification of Chinese government scholarship will be canceled, and the awarded Chinese government scholarship must be returned. Those who intentionally conceal their financial support will not be allowed to apply for Chinese Government Scholarships for three years, including the disqualification of their applications.

4. Related schools may interview or exam the applicant by phone or internet. Please make sure the phone number and email address are correct in your application.

5. All applications must be submitted online. E-mail applications or paper applications will not be accepted.

6. Please offer the correct E-mail address and mailing address. We will confirm all detailed important information via E-mail. Please make sure to check it every day.

7. SWJTU does not allow any individual or intermediary agency to accept applications for Chinese Government Scholarships. All applicants should submit relevant information on the official website of China Scholarship Council (http://www.campuschina.org/) and the official website of Southwest Jiaotong University (https://admission.swjtu.edu.cn/#/login).

8. Admitted students must strictly follow SWJTU's procedures for registration and enrollment. The university will verify original documents (passport, visa, academic certificates) upon registration. Failure to meet verification requirements will result in disqualification from enrollment.

9. Any form of fraud or misconduct will lead to immediate disqualification from the application process, revocation of admission, or expulsion if discovered after enrollment.
